Evaluations
Player evaluations typically consist of simple drills for hitting, fielding and pitching. However, assessing a player is not always an exact science. Being a good teammate involves more than just athletic skills, so versatility, timeliness, resilience, honesty and respect go a long way with us when we are putting together teams. We’re always looking for players looking to and willing to put in the work to help reach their fullest potential!

Individual Needs
Does MCA take only the best players around? No. Many players and families register for our training for the wrong reasons. They are looking for an easy way to succeed. We’re looking for players who have the physical and mental ability to play ball on a team and to be coached. Our coaches have the skills to develop players of all abilities. We’re looking for those individuals who will be as committed to us, as we are to them. Will you have fun, create memories, build friendships and learn what you’re capable of? Yes.

Placement / Teams
The Mission City Baseball teams will play in the very competitive East Shore Travel League (“ESTL”). ESTL has now been in operation over a decade, and in that time it has grown to be one of the largest AAU Baseball Leagues on the East Coach, with 250-300 teams competing in 8U-19U divisions throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. One of the best features of ESTL is that it has divisions within most age groups to allow for varying levels of competitiveness.
